It's so awesome that you're trying to find a style to suit you more, it's a great thing to do as an artist. Another great step to help, is to get good critique, which is what I'm doing of course. Anything to help out a friend.

First off, I love that there's no lineart for the mane and tail. It looks much more flowy and more like hair I guess. Maybe you could work on it even more by making it more piecy and just adding a tad more detail into the solid parts. All in all though, I think the hair just looks awesome! Your anatomy is just stunning, amazing work! One thing I definitely recommend you try giving a go is more detail. Experiment with different shading and highlights to find just the right tone for muscle detail and such. You could try adding more detail into the backgrounds to, there are some great water and grass tutorials out there, and even the sky. Practice doing some fluffy clouds. I saw in your Artists comments about eh background, but I'd just throw it in anyway. Another quick thing about the detail on Aerynne; maybe try making the markings flow a little more, like the different colours flow so they're not such solid lines between the two colours. Last thing, I like how you didn't add any eyebrows this time. All in all, I love this picture, you're definitely on your way to creating some awesome art (not that you haven't already, hehe). Keep up the awesome work and remember, practice and expirement, don't be afraid to try new things.
